Guide to Persian notation:

Koron or P signifies a half-flat, a quarter-tone flatter than the natural tone.
Sori signifies a half-sharp, a quarter-tone sharper than the natural tone.
Neutral N is midway between major and minor.
- A neutral 3rd interval is equal to one and three-quarter tones.
- A neutral triad consists of the fundamental, the perfect 5th, and the neutral 3rd halfway between on the scale.
In chord notation, these symbols are used in the same manner as sharp, flat, minor, augmented, etc.
- EPN is a neutral triad based on E half-flat: E-half-flat, G, B-half-flat.
- BMN7 starts with a major triad based on B, then adds a neutral 7th above the fundamental: B, D-sharp, F-sharp, A-half-sharp.
