1997 APEC FORUM BRINGS TYRANTS TO VANCOUVER
Will these despots face trial for crimes against humanity?
- Indonesian leader President H.E. Suharto, responsible for
- the deaths of over 200,000 East Timorese;
- the detention, torture and death of thousands of his people;
- fires that are destroying Indonesian forests and forming smog thousands of miles away.
- Jiang Zemin, responsible for
- crushing peaceful protesters under tanks at Tienanmen Square;
- the detention and deaths of many Tibetans, including monks;
- forced abortions performed on Tibetan women;
- imprisoning critics of his policies; and
- plans to flood much of the farmland of hungry Sichuan province for a grandiose dam.
Mounties to the rescue?
Instead of protecting the Canadian people from criminals, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are now doing the opposite. They are protecting killers from overseas from being offended by Canadians.
